Directions: Line up the children with their toes on a marked starting line. At the signal, all jump forward five times. This can be done as a contest, with the child who gets the farthest from the starting line the winner. The winner of a round will sit out the next round and keep going until everyone wins.

The ideas below may help you teach a lesson about David and how he trusted and loved God. Feel free to use these ideas to supplement your current curriculum or to make your own lesson.
Directions: Choose a child to start the game by being "it." He will stand in front of the group and say, "When I'm grown up, what will I be? Take a look at me and you will see!" The he acts out what he wants to be when he grows up. The other children try to guess it correctly. The child who guesses correctly first becomes the next "it." Allow enough time so everyone has a turn, but do not force a child to participate, if they are uncomfortable.
SnacksA good snack for this lesson would be cookies in the shape of a sling. (Roll cookie dough out and form into a Y shape.) Use string licorice for the strap. Set "strap" in as soon as cookies are out of the oven. For the stones you can use malted milk balls.Grapes, cheese chunks, and crackers are some typical foods you might have found in Bible Times.Art Center Ideas
