Saga Rose's passengers will get to see some of the planet's most spellbinding wildlife when she sails into the icy waters of the Antarctic in late January. The ship, which has sailed under the Saga flag for almost 10 years, is visiting Antarctica as part of her 108 day world cruise.
During the voyage, passengers can hope to see killer and humpback whales, gentoo penguins and fur seals. Saga Rose's first stop in Antarctica will be Admiralty Bay on King George Island on January 30. The island is home to Arctowski, a Polish Antarctic station, which is the site of some major ecological and oceanographic research projects.
