v class="googleright">With the $75 billion package included in President Obama's Federal Loan Modification Plan, there seems to be a far better chance for responsible homeowners who struggle to keep their mortgage payments current. If you are one of them, you do not want to lose this opportunity. You want to save your home and get relief. You are not willing to waste your time. You are eager to submit your application.
The very first thing you need to do is to evaluate yourself whether you are qualified for the Federal Loan Modification Plan. You do not want to submit an application only to be denied in the end. You want to be sure you have all the qualifications to get your share of the $75 billion package.
How do you know then if you qualify for President Obama's Federal Loan Modification Plan?
Having a history of being turned down for a loan modification in the past does not disqualify you for the program. Lenders and financial institutions that have been approved to participate in the program have been mandated by the government to look at all the applications from homeowners asking for help. However, their decision depends on whether you are qualified or not.
Here are the basic pointers for you to determine your qualifications:
1. You are not a delinquent borrower.
2. Your mortgage balance cannot be more than $729,750.00.

4. You must also be able to show that at least 31% of your gross monthly income goes to your current mortgage payments (including taxes and insurance).

If you are pretty sure you have these qualifications, you may go ahead and start the application process. Completely fill out the loan modification application form supported by sufficient documentation.
