She'd never been engulfed in such flame [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], never been so mindless over any man. She didn't even know where he lived or what he did for a living [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]! All she knew was his name and that he had the most incredible effect on her and that he had the most kissable looking lips she'd ever laid eyes on.
She stared up at those lips: soft, yet firm and chiseled [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], darting out her tongue to lick her own suddenly dry lips. Undeniable hunger surged through her. She had to taste his lips, had to nibble them and tease them or she'd die. It was a photo-finish whether he leaned down to savor her lips first or if she tiptoed up to press her lips to his first. It wasn't a contest but if it was, they were both winners.
No one had ever kissed her like this before. Not Patrick. Not Gary. Not any of their predecessors. Cory's lips ignited fires deep in her belly [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], shooting fireworks through every nerve ending [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and turning her knees to gelatin. If not for his strong arms encircling her waist or her arms latched around his neck [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she'd have melted to the floor.
Instead [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she strained against him [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], needing him fiercely [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], longing to be one with him. The feelings were so strong they scared her, yet she couldn't break free. She'd rather stop breathing.
She wanted to protest when he drew away. Chill air chapped her bruised [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], swollen lips.
His gaze smoldered into hers. "Let's check out the moonlight . . . . I'm getting claustrophobic." His teeth nipped her earlobe, and then his tongue lathed her ear.
Arching her neck she shivered against him. He was right. They were too closed in it was too smoky in here. Fresh air and privacy lured her. When he captured her hand in his larger one, she let him lead her outside. Mae Trenton [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], secretary to the vice-president of the bank, said in a confidential tone, "At the board meeting this morning they decided to join the new money facility to Peru. The up-front fee is aver five million dollars...."
Jon Creighton [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the bank bigot [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], added [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], "I understand we're going in on the Mexican rescue package for fifty million. Those wetbacks don't deserve a damned cent...."
"It's interesting," Tracy said thoughtfully, "that the countries that attack America for being too money-oriented are always the first to beg us for loans."
It was the subject on which she and Charles had had their first argument.
Tracy had met Charles Stanhope III at a financial symposium where Charles was the guest speaker. He ran the investment house founded by his great-grandfather, and his company did a good deal of business with the bank Tracy worked for. After Charles's lecture [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Tracy had gone up to disagree with his analysis of the ability of third-world nations to repay the staggering sums of money they had borrowed from commercial banks worldwide and western governments. Charles at first had been amused, then intrigued by the impassioned arguments of the beautiful young woman before him. Their discussion had continued through dinner at the old Bookbinder's restaurant.
