you procrastinate?
Well, I just achieved reading Brian Tracy's book, "Eat That Frog!: 21 Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time," and I have to mention, it's really, really />
Unless you're the most uber-productive person being to ever wade the planet you should by least check it out. It's only 128 pages long (I read it over the lesson of two days in among working) and it's very cheap on fluff.
The idea back the heading goes back to one old saying that if the initial thing you do every a.m. is to dine a live frog, you'll have the satisfaction of understanding that it's in always probability the most dreadful thing you'll do all day.
So your "frog" namely really your most challenging task as the day,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the 1 namely you are maximum likely to delay, but likewise the 1 that is most likely to have a positive impact above your life.
There are numerous suggested fancies in the writing, but five of them were important for me individually,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], so here they are:
1. Plan Every Day in Advance
Write it on paper. Before you start going almost your daily affair, take 15-20 minutes to plan out your tasks. Spending 15-20 minutes in planning could end up saving you hours of time really carrying out your tasks for the day. Try it for yourself, and you'll penetrate that it really does go.
2. Apply the 80/20 Rule to EVERYTHING
Basically, 20% of your operations will list for 80% of your results in any zone. By focusing on the select few top 20% activities and withstanding the urge to "clear up the little entities premier," you can up your productivity drastically. Spend some time thinking what your fruitful activities are so that you can prompt yourself to focus on them more than equitable 20% of the time.
3. Use the ABCDE Method Continually
This is maybe the largest takeaway for me, and it's also likely the easiest to appliance (maybe that's why I like it).
Classify your missions at assigning them a letter according apt their importance: (A) Must Be Done (aka your "frog"), (B) Should Be Done, (C) Would Be Nice, (D) Delegate to somebody another, or (E) Eliminate totally (without whichever consequences).
After you've categorized your tasks, prioritize them using numbers. For instance, you could have 3 "A" tasks: A-1, A-2, and A-3.
Work via the list sticking to the mandate you assigned each chore. This will make decisive that you get your "frogs" out of the course first thing, which will have the best positive impact on your life.
4. Identify your Key Constraints
It's usually simple to make out the one chief ingredient that is holding you back from accomplishing a task. By identifying this curbing factor, you can focus each part of your vigor on eliminating it. Once that is done you can replicate the process with the next major limiting factor. By repeating this process again and again you make the task many easier to complete. Establish your limiting factors and focus on eliminating them.
5. Slice and Dice the Task
By cutting a premonitory task into smaller "slices" you can make the task less overwhelming. Psychologically the task is easier if you complete it in a sequence of bite-sized chunks. Also, once you carry out a "slice" you're more threaten to feel like catching on variant slice. This ambition assist you obtain those great, intimidating projects done more quickly than you trusted doable.
